AL-HAQQ MADRASAH, THAMESMEAD
Al-Haqq Madrasah Thamesmead is dedicated to nurturing a strong foundation in the Quran for children in our local community. With a clear focus on accurate recitation, meaningful understanding, and Islamic values, our Quran classes are carefully designed to support learners from all backgrounds in a structured and welcoming environment.
Every Sunday, from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM, our sessions offer more than just reading — they focus on connecting the heart to the words of Allah ﷻ, helping children grow in both knowledge and character.
What We Teach
Our syllabus covers essential areas of Quranic and Islamic education. Children begin with Basic Qaida, learning correct Arabic pronunciation and letter recognition. From there, they progress to Quranic Reading, supported by Tajweed to refine their recitation.
For those ready to memorise, we provide Hifz support, with guidance in small groups to help maintain accuracy and motivation. Students are also introduced to Arabic language basics, Tafseer (explanation) of selected surahs, Islamic Studies, and daily Supplications (du’as) that strengthen their connection with daily acts of worship.
All teaching is age-appropriate, focused on understanding, and led with gentleness and consistency.
Our Teaching Approach
We recognise that every child learns differently. That’s why our experienced teachers use clear, encouraging methods to support each student at their own pace. The atmosphere is calm, respectful, and designed to help students love learning the Quran, not feel pressured.
Parental involvement is welcomed, and regular feedback is shared so families can support their child’s progress at home. We aim to nurture confident reciters and children who respect the Quran and reflect its teachings in their lives.
“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Sahih al-Bukhari)
